TECHNICAL UNDERWRITING MANAGER   GLASGOW      £excellent

BRAND NEW POSITION AVAILABLE:

Due to continued success, my client, a leading name within the commercial insurance marketplace, is seeking a Technical Underwriting Manager, based in their Glasgow office but covering Scotland and North England. 

The role:

·         Contribute to the profitable development of all commercial lines business throughout Scotland and North England.

·         Act as referral point for technical queries, complaints and all complex issues.

·         Develop and maintain strong broker relationships

·         Manage quality and audit processes.

·         Monitor and report on competitors product and pricing changes

·         Advising on full spread of commercial insurance risks to market.

·         Underwriting new and existing technical insurance risks

The person:

·         Extensive experience of technical underwriting within an insurer environment

·         Comprehensive understanding of all classes of commercial insurance risks

·         Ability to communicate with clients and colleagues effectively

·         Strong awareness of the Scottish broker marketplace

·         Excellent negotiation and communication skills

·         Experience of people management

·         Sound knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements within commercial insurance
