Bonar Technical Yarns Production Manager Dundee Competitive

For our production facility in Dundee we are looking for a
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for 9 direct reports and over 100 employees in production and despatch departments. You will be a member of the senior management team and over the next 2 years will be instrumental in driving considerable change across the site as part of this team.
Your main responsibilities include
- daily production and logistics operations, meaning delivering against the production plan
- developing and implementing performance KPI’s
- improving quality and efficiency
- maintaining and improving local safety standards.
- driving a change process
You will also be required to work closely with your own team coaching and developing personnel to ensure they meet the required standard.
This will be a challenging and rewarding role for the motivated and driven individual. You must be an effective and challenging people-manager. Direct (change) management experience of a large team is essential. You will be working as part of a small management team and therefore will be confident in taking the lead at times. It is essential that you are someone who sees actions through to completion. You must be analytical and confident in using a PC and MSOffice and have examples in your working life of problem solving.
Your essential characteristics and skills are:
- experience of using Lean manufacturing techniques
- a minimum of 5 -7 years (change) management experience
- a degree level background in Engineering or Science
- working knowledge of ISO9001.
- self-motivation and drive
- a hands-on attitude
