As a result we are looking for a number of ambitious, creative and determined people to join our fast expanding team.
In the role of Account & Business Development Manager you will be a key part of the account management team and integral to the success of the business as it grows. You will be expected to manage and develop a relationship with a portfolio of customers ensuring 55degrees provide the best possible level of service whilst maximising efficiency and profit for the business. You will also be required to grow and develop new business by completing PQQ’S and formal bids, writing tender proposals and attending pitch presentations and interviews as well as developing corporate accounts.
The successful applicant is likely to be an experienced account manager with great attention to detail and excellent organisational and project management skills. You should be tenacious and ambitious with a strong commercial focus. Your ability to write, develop an argument and present a clear, concise narrative is also paramount.
Required Skills
- Excellent communicator (both written and verbal)
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Confident running client and internal meetings, documenting and following up
- A strong commercial focus with particular attention to delivering projects on time and in budget
- Ability to self-manage and keep to deadlines
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to write compelling narrative and adapt to a variety of client types
- Flexible approach – able to multi task on a wide range of duties
Ideally the successful candidate will be educated to a degree level (or with equivalent work experience) and have at least 3 to 5 years experience of account management with either customer relationship management or business development experience within that.
