Project Accountant Ayrshire North   £45,000 per Annum

Blue chip manufacturing organisation based in Ayrshire has a requirement for a Qualified Accountant to take up the post of Project Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller the main responsibilities will include:

· Measure, monitor and report the progress of production programmes within the business
· Ensure project WIP valuation is accurately valued and reported on a monthly basis
· Support proposals team in costing and preparing bids and tenders
· Perform monthly reporting of programmes for two sites
· Support role to Programme Director providing up to date information on project costs and performance
· Provide month end support to Financial Controller where necessary to ensure accurate period close
· Carry out financial system improvement programmes linked to system and reporting improvements
· Provide back fill cover to ERP system development
· Assist with internal and external audits
· To perform all work in full compliance with HS&E legislation and company procedures
· Assist in 5 year plan and budget process

The successful candidate will be qualified (CIMA, ACCA) and will have experience in working within a manufacturing environment. Ideally the candidate will also have experience in accounting for contracts and development programmes. The candidate will also have the ability of working in a changing environment and be both self driven and be able to organize and manage their own workload as well as operating within a team structure.
