Facilities Engineer Ayrshire North   £21,000 to £24,000 DOE + £7,500 shift premium p/a

Due to expansion, our client a large biochemicals company is looking for a Facilities Engineer.

Hours of Work:

12 hour shifts, 4 on 4 off rotation. Each Rotation starts with 2 day shifts (7am-7pm) and end with two night shifts (7pm-7am)

Job Description:

• Execution of PPM programme
• Execution of calibration programme
• Liaison with other departments on scheduling of maintenance work / repairs
• Faultfinding & repairs to buildings and equipments to processes not in control
• Completion of deviations and CAPA relating to the maintenance functions
• Process improvement work

Qualifications  / Skills

• Electrical based degree or recognised electrical apprenticeship is essential
• Diploma in an appropriate engineering discipline is desirable
• Multi discipline skill set
• Hands-on engineering experience with process equipment
• Proven experience working in a similar role in a regulated environment, such as pharmaceutical or foods
• Sound faulting skills
• Good communicator with ability to liaise with peers and superiors
• Sense of urgency and ability to work to tight time lines
• Experience of working with a PPM system
• Working knowledge of HVAC water treatment and steam systems
• Working experience and understanding of current GMP requirements
• Working knowledge of HS&E systems
