Our manufacturing facilities and service bases are strategically located in every major oil and gas basin worldwide.

We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join the team.  This position will report to the Surface Wellhead MFT Manager for U.K. and North Sea.

Main tasks

·         Lead a multi-disciplinary project team to achieve project deliverables e.g.

o   Compliance with customer requirements and specifications

o   On time delivery

o   Meet or exceed budgeted project financial performance

·         Act as the main FMC contact for the customer on all project matters.

·         Develop customer relationships that support FMC’s goal of being the customer’s preferred supplier on all future projects.

·         Manage contracts effectively with particular emphasis on control of variations to original scope of supply.

·         Assess and monitor project risks.  Take the lead managing these risks across all aspects of a project.

·         Regularly review project margins and provide accurate financial estimates. Manage project expenditure, invoicing and receivables taking preventative or corrective actions as required.

·         Participate in business improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and personal qualities

·         Educated to degree level, ideally in a business or engineering discipline.  Other qualifications may be considered depending on previous experience.

·         Association of Project Management qualification or similar preferred but not essential.

·         Minimum 3 years experience working in a project based environment.

·         Ability to learn and communicate the technical aspects of FMC’s equipment.

·         Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the confidence to present to all levels within both FMC and the customer’s organisation.

  • High personal standard of work with the desire to encourage the same in others.
  • Ability to encourage and motivate a team made up of members based in multiple countries.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required to communicate with both the customer and team members in other countries and from other cultures.
  • Foreign language skills would be an advantage e.g. French.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
