Tannlin is a fast growing development and manufacturing company specialising in high accuracy laser products for the electronics industry.

The Senior Software engineer is responsible for providing advice, guidance and decisions relating to all aspects of software development at Tannlin. Key functions and tasks associated with this role are:
• To establish a working knowledge and experience of Tannlin’s core products, processes and market.
• Full ownership of all software development projects. Understand Tannlin’s current product architecture. Contribute to the evolution of Tannlin’s technical and product roadmap.
• Participate in defining business requirement specifications together with the directors of the business. Provide advice, guidance and suggestions to software options and alternatives including how software requirements could be better specified.
• Review and sign-off Detailed Design Specifications (DDS) for software components.
Provide feedback and guidance where necessary to ensure DDS meet quality requirements.
• Validate work submitted by developers when used. Ensure adequate unit testing has been performed and recorded. Ensure submitted software adheres to coding standards and ensure best practice is followed.
• Seek to identify cross-project technical impacts wherever possible. Escalate such issues to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
• Where necessary escalate technical/design issues to the directors for discussion and resolution.
• Able to demonstrate an ability to work across the full development and product lifecycle, ensuring that functional/design specifications are accurate and meet business requirements.
