Construction Estimator / Cost Planner Glasgow   circa £50 - £55K plus benefits

Our client is a Commercial Building Contractor who procure and deliver  2 stage tender Design and Build Projects from £20M to £150M in Scotland.

Projects are obtained via a combination of Competitive tender and negotiation and often as repeat business.

Recent Tender successes and ongoing bidding activity mean that  they now seek an experienced Commercial Cost Planner /  Construction Estimator. The ideal candidate will have experience of pre-contract cost planning and procurement of complex sub-contractor packages and the ability to produce accurate, effective and innovative Cost / Tender schedules for a range of mixed use projects.

This role will suit a dynamic individual who has a knowledge of the typical supply chain of Sub-Contractor’s / Design Team partners in the Scottish for major projects, has a strong attention to detail and is highly IT literate.

Ideally they will have at least 10 years experience of Pre- Construction Cost Planning either  within a specialist Estimating or Quantity Surveying function and they will have secured profitable projects that can be delivered within budget by their experienced production teams.

As a key member of the National Cost Planning team, you will work closely with your experienced Operations and Commercial colleagues and will have the opportunity to strategically influence the direction of the business in Scotland.
