We believe work of the Trust in Scotland is vital now more than ever as many of Scotland’s young people find themselves locked out of the jobs market.
The Prince’s Trust – Scotland is a vibrant, committed, diverse and growing third sector organisation which supports some of Scotland’s most vulnerable young people across Scotland’s most excluded communities.
This exciting role will be responsible for securing income for The Prince’s Trust from Local and National Government, managing and developing key relationships with a range of Local and National Government Partners. The roles involve developing and managing a portfolio of vital partnerships with Government across Scotland successfully in order to achieve set income targets and help increasing numbers of Young People get their lives on track.
This is a demanding and challenging role which requires a mix of creativity and resilience and above all excellent relationship management skills. You will be a strong communicator at all levels and posses a flair for sales. You will a practised project manager with well developed organisational skills. Above all else you will be a determined self starter with a tenacious attitude to follow through and complete.
Key responsibility is to manage a caseload of Local Authority Partnerships to secure an income target which will help us deliver our operation plan for young people in Scotland. This will involve establishing and building effective strategies and relationships with Local Government partners, develop an understanding of the policy environment they operate within and integrate our work within relevant local priorities and focus. You will write convincing proposals or deliver compelling pitches to them, maximising opportunities for sustainable income and establishing the Trust as a critical partner in the delivery of their plans for young people trapped by disadvantage.
You will thrive in a positive Team environment and contribute creative ideas and solutions to further embed the Trusts relationships with Local and National Government
You will be a creative thinker with experience in fundraising, sales, marketing or sponsorship. You will be a self motivated project manager who confidently hits financial targets. You will have an understanding of the policy environment surrounding young people in Scotland and an understanding of the linked agencies and group and in play in that area. You will possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
