We are recruiting for a Finance Analyst to assist the Management Accountant to provide accurate information, advice and guidance to General Managers and their teams across the business and to finance and develop and maintain these relationships.

Duties involved in the role:

  • Prepare and process accruals, recharges, journals and income and ensure balance sheet codes and clear by period end.
  •  Report, drill down data on the consolidated ledger to conduct analysis on this information.
  • Produce month and year-end financial information and analysis, to communicate and to review month end reports with the manager.
  • Must be able to forecast, prepare and reconcile for next years budget as well as uploading the information.
  • Deliver financial awareness training to Team Leaders, managers and co-ordinators.
  • To provide advice and guidance on an ad hoc basis.
  • Identity and address any issues that customers raise ensuring they are kept to date with any changes that affect them.

The candidate must have:

  • Knowledge of book keeping
  • Accounting knowledge (balance sheets/ month end reports) coding structures, Accounting Standards, Statements of Standard Accounting Practise (SSAP) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP).
  • Must know the processes and procedures within finance, including month and year-end prepayment, accrual and journal procedures, VAT policy and procedures.
  • Knowledge of financial systems e.g. People Soft, Oracle, MIMS and Business Objects.
  • MS Office – Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Must be able to effectively plan and manage their own time within month and year-end deadlines.
  • Must be able to continuously improve processes and procedures within departments.
  • Must be able to make decisions relating to budget, or large transfer of cost.
  • Must be flexible with travel as some travel to other sites are required.
  • Communicate financial information to Managers/ Team Leaders and other finance staff.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
