Our client, a growing manufacturer of medical devices in Ayrshire, seeks to add an experienced Production Manager for their team.

Objectives:

• Management of all elements of fabric stent graft production
• Control of the production areas to ensure on-time delivery of all manufactured items
• Ensure product throughput meets cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Ensure product throughput meets site, client, quality and all regulatory requirements.
• To devise methods to coordinate data capture and to facilitate effective performance measurement
• Mentoring and development of manufacturing operatives.

Responsibilities:

• Control levels for all components, raw materials and finished stock
• Forecast production demand in conjunction with the clients.
• Create and maintain production plans and targets for both internal and contract manufacture
• Monitor and report on progress towards production plan and targets
• Management of contract manufacturers to ensure production targets and quality standards are met
• Management of production equipment maintenance schedules
• Monitor and Report on agreed performance measures
• Performance management of team (ensuring all have completed required training and support development of all staff)
• Ensure targets are delivered within budget
• Overall management of the Clean Room environment, ensuring cleaning schedule is maintained

Quality Responsibilities:

• Maintain appropriate standards of quality throughout the production systems in line with both regulatory and organizational requirement
• Maintain quality records for all activities within the production department

Experience in a medical device/manufacturing environment.  Supportive to colleagues in providing and implementing solutions to continuously improve manufacturing methods and systems. An effective leader who can motivate and manage a diverse group of individuals.

Educated to HND or  degree level in production related relevant discipline – desirable
