QC Inspector Ayrshire North   £Doe plus benefits

Our client, a leading manufacturer of specialist medical devices in Ayrshire, seeks to add a QC Inspector to their team.  This is a new post as a result of a period of growth and success.

Quality: Operates within the company’s quality standards, as required by the Medical Devices Directive.

Job Description:

• Inspect, measure and test raw materials as specified in the company work instructions
• Understand supply of raw materials and certificates of conformity
• Inspect “work in process” and “finished products”
• Physical Testing of Products
• Packaging and Labeling Verificatio
• Employment is in a Clean Room (a controlled environment)
• Understand and interpret engineering drawings within the company procedures and work instructions
• Report any deviations to the protocols, including raw materials, work in process and finished produce
• Accurately complete paperwork throughout all stages of the inspection process
• Ensure all instrumentation involved in the quality control inspection process is maintained to required standards
• Calibrations of measuring instrumentation required to carry out the inspection process.
• Be able to carry out laboratory testing on specialist materials (to support the development of the product)

Support any ad hoc project work (e.g. continuous improvement projects) Previous experience of working within a quality inspection role within a related regulated industry (desirable).

Previous experience of working within a controlled clean-room environment would be beneficial.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and reliable with a demonstrable ability to learn new skills and undertake new challenges. They will have excellent communication skills and a good level of IT literacy. Working well as part of a team they will be able to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.

Flexibility in working hours will be necessary as some shift working may be a requirement of the role.
