Production Operative Ayrshire North   £Competitive

Our client, a manufacturer of medical devices in Ayrshire, is looking to add Production Operatives to their team due to a period of success and growth.

Quality: Operates within the company’s quality standards, as required by the Medical Devices Directive and ISO 13485.

Production Responsibilities: Manufacture medical devices, to the correct quality in line with company policies and procedures.

• Setting up and operating Embroidery Machines and associated equipment.
• Complete prep work for making of stent graft
• Finishing of the graft by hand sewing thread ends and cutting to length
• Preparation of samples for testing.
• Pouching and labeling of completed product
• Complete all of the above to required company work instructions.
• Completion of production paperwork

Production Responsibilities:

• Manufacture implantable mesh products to the correct quality in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Setting up and operating of knitting machines and associated equipment.
• Finishing of mesh including washing, cutting, heat setting, assembly, pouching, labeling and packing
• Preparation of samples for testing.
• Complete all of the above to required company work instructions.
• Completion of production paperwork.

You should also have:

• Experience of working as part of a production team
• Experience of working within the medical devices industry – desirable but not essential
• Previous experience of doing close work

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and reliable with a demonstrable ability to learn new skills and undertake new challenges.  Flexibility in working hours will be necessary; Shift working may be a requirement in the future.
