Introduction:

My client is a leading global provider of technology solutions for the energy industry. The Company operate in 15 countries around the world with over 10,000 employees and holds a global reputation for their innovation and excellence.

The technology and engineering centre in Dunfermline, is responsible for the design and manufacture of subsea trees, wellhead systems and associated equipment and employs a dedicated project management team leading a vast number of diverse technical projects.

The Role:

Reporting to the Director of Projects, this position will take overall responsibility for the project life cycle from quotation through to execution. This will be achieved through the effective matrix management of the Projects team.

Key contribution areas include:

Matrix management of the Project team (comprising Senior Project Managers and Project Controllers) to ensure projects are managed and delivered successfully.
Monitoring and reporting on all Projects performance to the Senior Leadership Team. Identifying improvement areas and learning opportunities.
Liaison with the commercial group at bid/tender stage providing necessary quotation support.
Representing the business at customer meetings, to define project scope and participate in contractual discussions.

The Candidate:

You will have sound experience in managing multi-disciplinary projects coupled with people leadership experience. Having carved out a successful career as a honed Projects Manager, you will now be looking for an opportunity to apply your experience and take the next step up in your career.

Your industry background may include Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Marine or medium-heavy engineering. You will also have certification in a recognised Project Management methodology (PRINCE 2, APM)

There will be some travel expected in this post, mainly within Europe.
