Shift Supervisor Ayrshire East   £25,361 - £26,993 dependant on experience

Our client , a long standing Manufacturing business based in East Ayrshire, is looking for Shift Supervisors for a 2 year Temporary contract.

Job Purpose: To supervise and co-ordinate the production activities and processes within area of responsibility, to ensure that scheduled requirements are achieved, in accordance with quality standards whilst ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• Co lead the planning of shift production targets and communicate key goals and objectives to production personnel within area of responsibility on a shift basis, ensuring that work is carried out safely and within health and safety requirements;
• Record hourly/daily shift actual outputs onto appropriate documentation;                 
• Highlighting any breakdowns or quality variance to the appropriate functions for immediate attention, in order to meet 100% On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery;
• Motivate employees and develop training requirements that meets our order book;
• Promote 6S plan throughout areas of responsibility;   
• Lead weekly group meetings with production personnel in area of responsibility.

Personal Profile: You will be expected to be flexible in outlook and be able to communicate at all levels within the organisation.  A team player, with good organisational skills and first class interpersonal skills in dealing with internal and external customers.  Strong in character; with the ability to lead and motivate a team of people.

The successful candidate must be able to work across all shifts.

Qualifications & Experience: As well as a knowledge of bush and bearing production, applicants must also be aware of quality standards. The successful applicant should also have basic PC skills and good numeracy and literacy skills.
