My client, a dynamic charity is currently looking for an experienced Project Manager who will play a key role in aligning the financial objectives of the organisation whilst delivering excellence in a challenging customer service environment to join their team as Business Manager.

The charity supports children and adults with learning disabilities, helping them to work and take part in their communities.

It is an exciting post within the organisation which has been developed in recognition of the changes in service delivery.

 

This is a key post in aligning the organisations vision for people who have learning disabilities involving:

 

  • taking a professional lead in restructuring systems to be more efficient
  • improving the charity's reputation as a provider of choice for Glasgow
  • improving the current financial performance of the area by developing a full business review
  • Manage performance of service provision in the area in new and innovative ways
  • Be a strong team leader in executing agreed recommendations
  • Develop new and innovative responses to the self directed support and personalisation agenda across all service areas
  • ability to liaise with finance and operation teams.
  • Produce and implement a strategic plan for the 3 areas of financial performance, personalisation and cultural change
  • 32 holidays per year plus benefits and pension scheme

 

The post holder must have experience in the following areas:

 

  • Management or relevant care qualification
  • Proven Senior Management experience, Business Degree or equivalent business degree
  • Knowledge of needs and aspirations of people with learning disabilities and their families
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and high level of skill in a particular area of the learning disability field
  • Excellent understanding of business issues
  • Sound financial planning skills
  • Ability to drive innovation and change
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • visionary leader with ability to lead in emerging situations with little best practice

Team or service management experience is essential
