An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading manufacturer of consumer healthcare and cosmetic products in the company’s European Head office in East Kilbride.

We have a permanent vacancy for a QC Shift Analyst who will provide high quality, timely and efficient analytical services in accordance with industry regulations.

This person will work in support of our shift based production of medicines, medical devices and cosmetics.

You will be responsible for:

•Providing prompt and efficient sampling, labelling and testing of raw materials, packaging components, intermediate and finished products using a variety of techniques including HPLC, GC and wet chemistry.

•Conducting analyses for other purposes including, but not limited to, stability studies and testing in respect of consumer complaints.

•Ensuring all documented results are according to cGMP/cGLP and that results are reported in a timely manner.

•Maintaining the laboratory in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices.

•Preparation of reagents and standards for the laboratory.

•Maintenance and calibration of analytical instrumentation.

The ideal candidate should hold a chemistry based degree with at least 2 years’ experience in the field or HND/HNC with at least 3 years’ experience and will have experience of working in the pharmaceutical, healthcare or other regulated industry. Experience gained in a GMP QC laboratory is also desired.
