IT Systems Specialist (ehealth, clinical) Glasgow   £25000 - £55000 per annum + bonus, + car allowance

Eden Scott's client is looking to recruit several experienced IT Systems Specialists who will provide analytical and technical support to clinical systems, including custom databases, custom and configured web applications, configured client server applications and database servers.

You will work in a wide ranging role providing evaluation, development, testing, implementation, and support of software and related processes to meet the organisations needs.

Key duties:

Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing clinical systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
Will conduct data analysis and plan/assist with data migration from legacy systems.
Provide development and support of production applications which may include configuration, administration, database maintenance, upgrades/patches, system documentation, user support, custom and ad-hoc reports, bug fixes, enhancements, and training.
Develop, document and implement policies, procedures and standards to ensure internal controls and provide effective database and software management.
Configure system settings and options; plan and execute unit, integration and acceptance testing, as well as validation; and create specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems.

To be considered for this role you must have previous experience working in a similar role ideally for a Pharmaceutical, clinical research organisation or the NHS.

Degree in Computer Science or similar would be an advantage.

Salary will be negotiable depending on the level of experience of the ideal candidate.
