PRG's client is a multinational manufacturing business in Ayrshire and they are looking to employ a Operations Accountant to add value to a certain stage of growth then go on and progress with the business. You will be from a Manufacturing background and have a sound knowledge of manufacturing and all that goes with it operationally. You will be actively studying and most likely at final stages of CIMA although other qualifications will be considered if the right experience has been gained.
The main duties of this position will be:
Responsibility for working with Operations Team to drive efficiencies and lead the improvement process within the manufacturing facilities;
The provision of data and analysis to aid the decision making process within Operations;
Periodic Reporting in conjunction with the Operations Manager to the Executive Team and Board;
Provide assistance to the Financial Controller during the implementation of a new IT system;
Manage and maintain Stock Reporting System including variance analysis on a daily, weekly and monthly basis again maximising efficiencies and minimising the use of Working Capital;
Management of Cost Control and Reporting for Capital Expenditure, in particular Project Winners;
Provide support at a senior level to the Financial Controller;
Ad hoc Analysis and Reporting as Directed by the Financial Controller or Executive Team.
This position will require someone with a heavy technical competence and someone who can communicate well both verbally and written. You will have Excellent Excel skills and be a good team player. This is a challenging but enjoyable environment where you will be stretched but rewarded. The need for an energetic, self motivated individual is paramount. Previous experience of an ERP system will also be advantageous.
