We are looking for an experienced Technical Author to join the IT Development Project team based at Arnold Clark Head Office
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Eliciting requirements
• Project planning inclusive of:
o Resource management
o Risk Assessment
o Identifying milestone and delivery dates
o Maintaining quality within the project management process
• Documentation creation and management
• Communication with all appropriate parts of the business
Essential skills:
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to work with staff at Director level
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Working within an IT environment
• Good decision-making skills
Desirable skills:
• Excellent IT knowledge including Microsoft Office
• Experience in compiling information from different sources
• Experience of GANT milestone charts
• Experience of a working within a development or similar environment
• Experience of process flow diagrams
The ideal candidate must be self motivated and pro-active with a resilient and flexible nature. You must be comfortable working within a high-pressure environment whilst ensuring the delivery of quality project documentation within timescales.
This position would potentially suit someone who has trained and/or qualified in IT or has had experience working within IT and looking to increase their skills. Prince2 and ITIL qualifications are not a requirement for this position.
