Business need/Purpose of the role -
Overall responsibility for site facilities and maintenance. In addition to providing support to the Lean Facilitator on day to day Lean and Quality initiatives
Key responsibilities and specific accountabilities -
Managing refurbishment, renovations and office moves
Managing general upkeep and maintenance
Making sure that buildings meet health and safety standards and legal requirements
Advising on energy efficiency
Managing facilities such as cleaning,waste disposal, catering and parking
Managing budgets and keeping expenditure records
Effectively dealing with any maintenance and repair issues on the site, involving contractors, workscopes, costs etc for all activities.
Negotiating deals with outside contractors and suppliers
Managing security
Making sure that IT systems such as computers, telephones, photocopiers and faxes, work effectively
Assist Lean Faciliator with key Hub lean and quality initiatives
Maintain and update calibration records
Key role in Hub environmental audits
Any other facilities duties as required
Person specification/Job knowledge/Education and Personal Attributes
Previous facilities management knowledge would be advantageous
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and organisational ability
Flexibility to carry out the necessary duties to complete the task to tight deadlines
Ability to work on own initiative
Experience of using MS packages including word and excel
The position is for a 6 month contract period and salary will be £28k pro rata.
