Category Marketing Controller - 6-9 Month Contract Glasgow   £45,000-£65,000

A leading FMCG organisation is currently looking for a talented Category Marketing Controller to cover a maternity contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with well known brands and contribute to the growth of this ambitious business over the course of this contract.

Reporting into the Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for leading the development of their channel, category and customer strategy, delivering profitable and sustainable growth through the development and application of consumer and shopper insights. Your role will encompass overseeing data planning and execution ensuring the right data sources are used and that insights are drawn and maximised from available data in addition to leading the development of category strategies and commercial propositions.

For this role, we're looking for first class presentation and communication skills as the ability to influence and make key recommendations both internally and externally is key. You will have significant experience in category marketing and customer management with time spent in consumer marketing and insights being an added advantage.

Candidates will have demonstrable understanding of value driving shopper metrics and how to build on them and be highly proficient in defining category and customer development opportunities from market, consumer and shopper data and creating viable plans to release value. Previous FMCG experience is essential.
