Project Engineer Fife   £ Competitive

My Client are a world leading Global manufacturing organisation.
Supplying their products to the Oil & Gas industry they have built a reputation that is truly second to none. Due to securing major new projects they have an immediate vacancy for a Project Engineer to work from their purpose built facility in Fife supporting both the UK & Overseas markets.

You will be responsible for support on small to medium-sized projects and/or individual components of larger more complex projects.

Your duties will include
Conceptual design work, specification of product and engineering analysis.
Writing or reviewing technical proposals, equipment evaluations & sourcing.
Product testing and offshore field operations of hardware.
Allocating assignments of various portions of a project to Designers/Drafters, Technicians or other Engineers.
Some limited project budgetary and scheduling responsibilities.
Interfacing with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met.
Providing status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management.

Qualifications
HND Essential in an Engineering subject
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) Preferred

You will have the ability to read, analyzes, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, & governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

You will have strong mathematical skills allowing you to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, you should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Agile, JD Edwards, AutoCAD, Solidworks and MathCAD.
