Job Description

Social Work Services are looking to recruit approximately 76 individuals to our temporary register. If successful individuals will be called upon when temporary positions arise. The main duties of these posts are to ensure that resident’s personal care and health needs are met within a care setting. Applicants should have good communication skills and have a genuine interest in working with older people and people with physical disabilities. You should be able to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative. Competency in English, written and spoken is a requirement. Applications are welcome from ethnic minorities and fluent speakers of other languages – Cantonese, Hakka, Punjabi, and Urdu. Previous experience of working with vulnerable service users is essential. These posts are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2003 (as amended). Enhanced disclosure checks will apply to these posts.
Location: Citywide Salary: £18,431.16 - £19,877.25 (including non core payments) pro-rata – day shift 30 hours per week.
£22,226.16 - £23,672.25 (including non-core payments) pro-rata - nightshift 20 hours per week.
