Senior Fund Accounting Manager Glasgow   Excellent package

A large Investment organisation in Glasgow City Centre have created a new position Senior Manager  within Open Ended Fund Accounting to aid the Head of Fund Accounting to develop and expand an already sizeable division to a world class level in Scotland

As a Senior Fund Accounting Manager you will have a 45 FTE and will be responsible for engaging, nurturing and guiding Team Managers and Team Leaders who will be your touch points for the day to day fund accountants. You will also be in charge of all aspects of recruitment, appraisals and disciplinary matters whilst being the single point of contact for Senior Fund Accounting queries and escalations

In addition to people management you will monitor and report on the production of interim and year end financial accounting statements, produce a monthly control report meeting all compliance requirements, produce and maintain the Client summary pack for review meetings, and manage the planning and implementation of new Fund takeons.

Previous large scale people management and a full accountancy qualification are essential. FSA Training and Competence exam passes (or grand fathered) is highly desirable.

An understanding of the revised authorisation fund SORP (2008) and FSA Regulations relating to UT and OEICs would also be key to the position
