SQL DBA Glasgow   £40000 - £45000 per annum

One of our major clients is looking for an experienced SQL Database Administrator.  This is a permanent position based on the outskirts of Glasgow and is a great opportunity with a growing organisation.

The main purpose of this role is to manage, support and optimise the company's SQL databases.
Some of the key tasks of this role are:

* Database creation and administration using Configuration Manager
* Performance monitoring and tuning
* Backup and recovery of databases
* Setting up of automated tasks
* Recommending and implementing infrastructure/database  improvements

 
The successful candidate will have:

* strong experience as a SQL Database Administrator
* Experience of MS SQL 2005/2008
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with customers
* Attention to detail
