Centre for the Moving Image is an umbrella organisation which will act as a hub across moving image sectors - cinema, TV, gaming etc. The business currently runs 3 key brands from its base in cehtre Edinburgh - Filmhouse, Edinburgh International Film Festival and the Cafe/bar.
We are looking for a finance manager, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer to to run the finance function. Key deliverables are financial information and strong management control but also being part of the financial decision making and ensuring the the business listens to financial advice.
Essential criteria are:
- Qualified accountant
- Experience in running a finance team and producing financial information to a high standard and to defined deadlines
- Ability to implement financial procedures within the organisation
- Ability to manage and control cash and suppliers
- Ability to show commercial experience adding value to the organisation
The candidate must have a strong, independent but likeable character and be fluent in English. Love of the Arts or cinema is not an essential criterion.
