The Centre for the Moving Image is an umbrella organisation which will act as a hub across the moving image sector in Scotland - film, TV, gaming etc. It currently operates through its key businesses and brands in central Edinburgh - Filmhouse, Edinburgh International Film Festival and its Cafe/bar.
We are looking for a strong finance manager who has the experience and personal character to help develop and manage the businesses bringing strong financial reporting and controls. The role will report to the Chief Operating Officer.
Essential criteria are:
- Qualified accountant
- Experience in running a finance team and producing financial information to a high standard and to defined deadlines
- Ability to implement financial procedures within the organisation
- Ability to manage and control cash and suppliers
- Ability to show commercial experience adding value to an organisation
The candidate must have strong English written and spoken skills. Love of the arts or cinema is not essential but the candidate must be sypathetic to the working environment.
