This Global Investment Management organisation currently has a requirement for Senior Manager of Open Ended Fund Accounting. Reporting to the Head of Department, key responsibilities include:

· To be responsible for the successful delivery of BAU KPIs and the funds change agenda across all the open-ended fund ranges for one of our largest clients

· To monitor and report on the production of interim and year end financial accounting statements for about approx 200 trusts/sub-funds including both ICVCs and SICAVs, and other fund accounting related processes

· To train and develop multiple Managers and Team Leaders and actively encourage the same for their Fund Accountants across the various teams

· Responsible for approx 45 staff overall, conduct interviews (a) recruitment, (b) appraisals, (c) disciplinary and regular 1-to-1s

· To manage strategic reviews of department, enabling improvements and efficiencies and continually assess the team's operating model to improve efficiency, reduce risk and cost.

· To be responsible for certain department wide projects as agreed with the Dept Head

· To drive and implement best practice, standardise and optimise processes across the Client fund ranges and the department as a whole

· To manage the planning and implementation of new Fund takeons & other projects, including all client product changes and RFP process participation.



Required skills and experience

· Must have a full accountancy qualification with a track record in a similar Fund Accounting role

· Possess excellent interpersonal skills for liaising with the immediate team and other Departments: Trustees/Depositaries, Custodians, Auditors and the Fund Management Companies to which we provide our service
· Knowledge of the revised authorised fund SORP (2008), and FSA regulations pertaining to Unit Trusts and Open Ended Investment.
· Proven ability to lead and manage a large team of people

· Ability to time manage effectively, meet objectives and solve problems
