Finance Controller Edinburgh   £40,000 - £42,000

Hudson’s client, a prestigious organisation based in Edinburgh, are now looking to recruit a CCAB qualified Finance Controller on a permanent basis.  Applications are invited from finance professionals who have previous held a senior position within a complex and diverse business.

The successful applicant will be expected to take a hands-on approach to financial control and procedures; therefore recent experience of this type is essential.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provision of sound financial advice and management information to senior management
• Setting targets for financial performance, monitoring performance and making recommendations for corrective action when required
• Developing a culture of continuous improvement in financial performance
• Preparation of the annual budget and liaising with senior budget holders across the organisation
• Lead in the preparation of the annual accounts including liaison with external auditors and bodies
• Ensuring a commercial focus within the business to maximise income potential
• Leading the finance team ensuring continued professional development
• Management of the organisations risk techniques and approaches
