Fitter – CK001531 Aberdeen   £Competitive

Our client is looking to recruit a Fitter to undertake the refurbishment, disassembly and building of equipment and pressure testing to satisfy the customer requirements observing product specifications, Quality, HS&E and all relevant industry standards as well as fault finding on subsea equipment.

 Accountabilities

 ·       Carry out the assembly/refurbishment of components to the requirements stipulated on the route sheets.

·       Carry out pressure testing to the approved standards.

·       Prepare documentation in line with company legislation policies and procedures.

·       Maintain and be responsible for the housekeeping of the work area.

·       Responsible for ensuring all work is undertaken in a safe manner and in line with company health and safety guidelines/policies.

·       Carry out fault finding on subsea schematic drawings.

·       Carry out Third party toolbox talk.

Equipment/Machinery Operation

·       Hand tools                                       

·       Pressure gauges                   

·       Air tools       

·       Pressure pumps                                

·       Cranes/forklifts                     

·       Flushing units

·       Steam clean tools                             

·       Torque equipment

·       Microscope oil analysis equipment

Knowledge and Experience required

·       Apprenticeship trained

·       Extensive hydraulic and subsea equipment knowledge.

·       Assessed as competent in the operation of Forklifts and Cranes

·       Mechanical handling (LOLLER)

·       Manual handling and associated HS&E training /awareness

·       Observed and where required tested on the operation of our equipment

·       Product knowledge – Subsea Xmas Trees, BOP’s etc

·       Good interpersonal skills

·       Trained risk assessor

·       Leadership skills
