Financial Accountant (Consolidations) Glasgow   £45,000 - £50,000

As a result of a recent maternity announcement, this high profile client is seeking a high calibre senior financial accountant to cover this period of leave.

 

This is a critical hire so the successful candidate will have a proven track record within the following areas:

 

• Managing the consolidation of the monthly reported results and produce the business KPI report and Executive Team reports with the level of supporting analysis and commentary required to effectively explain business performance
• Manage the co-ordination, consolidation, challenge and submission of business budgets and quarterly forecasts in line with business timescales, with the level of supporting analysis and commentary required to effectively explain business performance
• Build effective relationships with all key stakeholders across the business.
• Contribute to a positive team environment within own team and ensure that staff are motivated, have clear objectives and that they receive regular feedback and development
• Proactively support the Executive Team and other stakeholders in the understanding of financial performance to assist them in achieving their individual budget objectives and those of the wider business
• Manage stakeholders within the business to ensure that expectations are met with regard to submission of results
• Maintain a strong control environment ensuring all processes and procedures are in line with policies and that documentation is kept up to date
• Liaise with Financial Accounting team to understand actual results, trends and impact on current year targets
• Manage the monthly reported results process for all operating costs, capex, balance sheet items and cash flow reporting

 

The successful applicant must be a professionally qualified accountant ideally (CA) with strong consolidations experience and a working knowledge of the System SAP.
