Volunteer Café Corner Events Assistant Irvine   £voluntary

 Cafe Corner is based in Bourtreehill Community Centre Irvine,

The Café occasionally caters for larger events that are held within the community centre, as well as external catering for local organisations e.g.Social Work Department. It is at these events and also to cover annual leave of staff and volunteers that the assistant would be required.

All events are pre arranged and a reasonable period of notice will be provided. No formal experience or training is required for this opportunity however, a willingness to undertake relevant training is essential.

Task will  include:

To assist in the preparation of food and drinks,

Offer customer service including taking orders, serving tables.

Operate the cash till and handle cash.

A large part of the role will involve providing support to other volunteers in order for them to carry out these same key tasks

Notify staff of any issues or concerns

Attend regular support sessions

Undertake training relevant to role

Contact the Café Manager if unable to attend as agreed   

Age minimun 18 years

Travel expenses and reasonable out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed
