MSB Ltd. is the UK leader in the manufacture of specialised batteries for the Aerospace and Defence Industries. The Company is part of a group that represents a joint venture between EADS (owner of Airbus industries), and SAFT (multi-national battery manufacturer).

The Company employs 80 people and has an annual turnover of around £6 million.

The Opportunity

An experienced Press Setter is required to support the Press Shop Production processes and also the Tool-making function.

The primary tasks include:

Setting all hydraulic presses, up to 150 tonne capacity, to exacting standards.

Contributing to resolving Production problems where these are linked to the Press operation.

Supporting the Company's Tool-making function.

Contributing to process and Health and Safety projects as required. 

The Person

Required:

Extensive Hydraulic Press setting experience.

Extensive experience of traditional Tool Room techniques.

Advantageous:

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

Experience of powder processing work.
