Caley Ocean Systems Ltd. is a world leader in the design and manufacture of innovative marine handling systems. The continuing success has resulted in the expansion of the business and we are actively seeking to strengthen the engineering capability. 

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to further support our current order book and supply chain. The primary function of this role is to expedite key and critical suppliers to ensure adherence with the agreed delivery schedules and technical and commercial requirements.

The role:

  • Proactively manage suppliers on a daily basis to improve delivery performance and provide regular status updates including preparation of programmes and reports
  • Close liaison with Procurement / Projects / Assembly Shop and Suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of purchased goods and services
  • Visit suppliers as required to assess timelines of delivery
  • Compile and issue work packs to Suppliers for pricing etc. Assess suppliers capability to meet technical specifications
  • Liase with Third Party Inspection Agencies (Lloyds, DNV etc) to ensure Quality Specification are met.
  • Work closely with all engineering departments to ensure technical compliance is achieved
  • Client interface

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Engineering Degree qualified or equivalent experience in an Engineering environment
  • A strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • A strong knowledge of MS office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A full and clean driving license.
