Engineering Facilities Manager ( Multi-site Facilities) East Kilbride   £35,000 - £60,000

Hudson is recruiting a Facilities Engineering Manager with a strong multi-site manufacturing background for its well established manufacturing client in central Scotland. 

This once off and truly unique role is ideally suited to a degree qualified engineering facilities manager who has a demonstrable background in ensuring an efficient operation of a multi-site facility to high quality standards. 

Responsibilities will include: 

• Managing, supervision and coordination of all contractors
• Control of the Facilities budget
• Planning for  future development inline with strategic business objectives
• Managing and leading change to ensure minimum disruption to services
• Directing and planning essential central services such as reception, security, maintenance, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling
• Planning best allocation and utilisation of space and resources
• Using performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement and improvement of agreed service levels
• Responding appropriately to emergencies as they arise
• Preparing tenders for contractors
• Supervision and development of the Facilities, Cleaning and Catering associates using the Performance Management System
• Responsibility to be the health and safety competent person for the site, keeping in line with HSE requirements
• Acts as the Environmental Officer
• Liaises with relevant statutory bodies (HSE, Local Authority Planning/Building Control departments, Fire Service, Utilities etc)
• Maintains relevant quality/statutory records
• Management of capital works projects in relation to buildings, plant and equipment
• Champion for 5S and Continuous Improvement across the site

The preferred candidate is expected to be degree qualified within an engineering discipline and have the relevant Health and Safety and Environmental qualifications and experience.
