G/L Team Member Glasgow

Internationally respected dynamic business, with an enviable track record, is now in a position to recruit an immediately available candidate for a newly created General Ledger Assistant role for a long term temporary contract.

The objective of the role will include the following:

Providing General Ledger support and information
Performing general accounting activities and financial reporting
Journal processing
Reconciliations
Reviewing sub-ledger to GL reconciliations
Running interfaces
Participate in period end close
Involvement in process improvements
Maintaining statutory books

To apply for this rare opportunity, you will have the following criteria:

Previous experience of general ledger reconciliations and journal entry
Strong communication, evaluation and problem solving skills
Proven track record delivering process improvement initiatives and in managing, communicating and escalating issues
Data analysis skills
Ability to provide accurate data
Strong accounting knowledge
Professional Presence
