The purpose of this role is to provide shop floor multi-skilled engineering cover in completing the full range of maintenance/production engineering services in support of manufacturing activity around the plant. In addition, to support the operation and maintenance of all aspects of plant services and facility.

Key responsibilities include:

-To complete all aspects of production and facility engineering requirements, in a professional timely, efficient and hygienic manner.

-To complete all necessary tasks involved in maintaining the Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme as directed by the Leading Engineer or Manager.

-To maintain stock levels of machine spares and engineering consumables through liaising with the Leading Engineer/Manager.

-To be proactive in liaising with Production in efficiently completing all necessary maintenance and changeover activities within agreed timeframes.

-To work closely in liaison with the Leading Engineer and Manager to upgrade and improve machine efficiencies.

-To respond to callout situation if available as requested.

-To provide the required engineering and facility cover, including overtime, shift working and plant shutdown cover when necessary on an agreed rota basis.

-To ensure safe working engineering practices and procedures in line with Company Health & Safety Policies and procedures.

-To comply at all times with the requirements of GMP in delivering the full range of engineering services.

-To maintain the highest standards of hygiene, housekeeping and orderliness in operating and maintaining the workshop function.

-To actively participate in the Fire Team as required and undertake the associated duties on completion of Fire Team training.

Required Attributes:

"Time served Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical).

"HNC in Engineering discipline (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent.

"3 to 5 years experience minimum in a relevant manufacturing/packaging process environment.

"Capability to complete all of the required PPM tasks.

"Sound working knowledge of manufacturing and production processes and equipment.

"Preferred full clean UK driving licence.
