Located in Cardinal Newman High School, you will provide a back-up service to the Science Department. Your duties will include servicing of science laboratories, construction of simple apparatus, maintenance of stock records, preparation of materials for class use, comply with Health and Safety legislation and general Science Technician duties.

You must have an HNC or equivalent in a relevant science subject, together with experience of working in a science environment with scientific equipment. Good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work with others as part of a team or on your own initiative and work closely and responsibly with children.

Possession of a HND or equivalent is desirable, as is possession of relevant qualifications in other areas i.e. Computing, Electronics, Electrical.

Work Pattern: Wednesday pm, Thursday, Friday This post is temporary for a period of 12 months.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Group Scheme (PVG) member prior to starting this post.
