North Lanarkshire Council’s Contact Centre deals with a wide range of services including housing and property repairs and environmental services. We are currently recruiting for our new out-of-hours service, based between Motherwell and Coatbridge. To provide the highest level of customer service, we seek to recruit staff with experience of working in a busy, customer focused or contact centre environment, ideally with experience of housing and/or corporate property repairs, however comprehensive training will also be provided.

You should have well-developed communication and IT skills and have excellent customer care and call handling skills, with the ability to take ownership for the decisions you make and work effectively as part of a team. You should demonstrate a flexible approach to work, an ability to prioritise tasks and a willingness to learn and evolve with the service as it develops.

Although fixed shifts apply to posts, there will be a need for flexibility between the shift patterns.

Post 1 & 2 : Monday to Thursday 4.30pm - midnight
Post 3 : Monday to Thursday 11.30pm – 9.00am
Post 4, 5 & 6 : Saturday & Sunday 8.30am – 4.15pm
Post 7 & 8 : Friday to Sunday 4.00pm – midnight
Post 9 : Friday to Sunday 11.30pm – 9.00am
Post 10 : 35 Hours, Flexible working 5 over 7 days to cover all OOH shifts
