As one of Scotland’s leading Plant Hire & Portable Accommodation Companies, we are recruiting a Team Leader to support our growth strategy and lead our Central Hire Team. Perhaps already working in the Plant Hire Industry and looking for the next step in their Career, this role is an excellent opportunity.
The Job:
· Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful applicant will oversee and supervise the day to day operations occurrences on the Hire Team.
· Promptly & effectively responding to hire opportunities, agreeing rates/terms, & converting into orders.
· Dealing with customer enquiries, providing quotes, raising contracts & administering hire related paperwork. Process on hire, off hires and exchanges on Insphire.
· Build strong and helpful relationships with colleagues in other depots/departments to enable and accept passing of remote hire orders and resolving any issues that arise.
· Ensure the accuracy of orders entered onto the Insphire system to minimize disputes with customers and potential credit notes, ensuring all relevant paperwork is received by supplying depot.
· There is a range of administrative tasks that need to be completed including raising contracts & workshop orders, invoicing, and any other issues that may arise ad hoc. These will include keeping the DVLA registration documents up to date.
· The Team Leader will adapt to changes in systems and criteria as and when required and will be proactive in looking after Jarvie Plant Group interests and customer business.
· You will be required to liaise with both customers and suppliers on maintenance issues such as breakdowns and servicing.
The Person:
· A minimum of 2 years’ experience working either within the Hire Industry or a Customer’s Service environment is essential.
· You must be passionate about service, meeting deadlines and getting things right first time.
· Ability to work under pressure to set deadlines.
· Customer service, administration, multi-tasking & organisational skills are required.
· Strong negotiating skills.
· You will have been in a role where you have allocated tasks to others.
· Candidates will be PC literate, numerate & literate and be able to multi-task.
· You will confidently communicate at all levels both internally & externally.
· You are self-driven with a proven record of delivering excellent customer service.
· Above all, you work as part of a team, are self-motivated, co-operative & demonstrate good time management skills.
