Waste Management Inspector Montrose   £18,239 - £19,959

Job Description

Based in Montrose you will work as part of the waste management team, responding to complaints and enquiries relating to household and commercial waste collections, street cleaning, public conveniences, special uplifts, litter, recycling facilities and any other waste management related service. You will also monitor designated areas to maintain standards and carry out enforcement duties in line with Angus Council procedures. This job is temporary to 31 March 2013.

Requirements

You will have an HNC or equivalent qualification and/or relevant experience in waste management. Good customer care, organisational/time management, interpersonal and IT skills are all essential as are knowledge and an interest in recycling and waste management. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills and experience of working with the public. The ability to work unsupervised, use your initiative and make decisions, prioritise workload, maintain accurate records and reports and to work flexibly are all essential. A full, current driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. A willingness to carry out keyholder duties and to work outside/patrol areas on foot are also essential.
