Energetics is looking to the future with a business model that sets a benchmark for utility provision in the U.K. We have ambitious plans for the future and are looking for Gas Design & Operational Engineer to work on projects for the domestic and non-domestic markets and in accordance with current legislation, regulations and IGEM specifications.
The design team is critical to the development of the business, developing strong relationships with consultants, architects, customers and asset owners. Experience of compiling project tenders and commercial quotations is essential as is the ability to deliver infrastructure design presentations to prospective customers.
You will assist in generating new enquiries and repeat business proactively taking our unique arrangement for utility infrastructure services to our Customers by managing the design through the project lifecycle to the highest quality standards.
We are looking for Gas Engineer who has the relevant experience to create and deliver efficient low, medium and intermediate pressure gas infrastructure designs for both the domestic and non-domestic markets. The ideal candidate should have considerable experience of the construction of gas infrastructure, commissioning, decommissioning, and flow-stopping techniques on low, medium and intermediate pressure mains and services, In addition, design and construction experience of risers and lateral pipework and domestic and non-domestic metering installations is required, as is experience of installing and commissioning pressure regulating installations.
Applicants should have:
Ø Incorporated Engineer status or working towards this standard.
Ø Minimum HNC/HND in an engineering discipline
Ø Relevant experience of design and costing of gas infrastructure designs for domestic, including flatted properties and non-domestic projects.
Ø Experience of conducting site audits/inspections of the Company’s operational activities.
Ø Knowledge of the CDM Regulations and N.R.S.W.A.
Ø Experience of specification, design, maintenance and construction of system plant and apparatus.
Ø Excellent project management skills
Ø Supervisory experience together with effective communication skills
Ideally the successful candidate will be an accredited Authorising Engineer or at least an accredited “competent person” in terms of the Safe Control of Operations (SCO).
