Harmony Recruitment and Development Limited, are seeking applications from experienced candidates for the role of HR Manager.
The Role.
- To work closely with the Managing Director and Operations Director to ensure an equitable and productive workforce is developed and maintained to support all the company’s activities.
- To successfully and cost effectively manage all aspects of Employment Law including disciplinary and grievance procedures, equal opportunities, redundancies, paternity pay, maternity rights and working conditions.
- To undertake all areas of recruitment including hiring staff, producing job descriptions, placing adverts, working with recruitment organisations, organising interviews and running assessment centres.
- To manage documentation, in conjunction with the company’s employment law advisers, including preparing and updating staff handbooks, contracts, staff memos and issuing written offers of employment, promotion etc.
- To provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, duties, working conditions, salaries/wages, opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
- To provide direction and support for health and well-being practices throughout the company.
- Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as recruitment, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
- To manage and develop performance management and performance improvement systems.
- To work closely with the company’s employment law advisers.
The Candidate
Candidates must be able to demonstrate hands on operational experience in providing HR services. A minimum of 5 years experience is required in a similar environment. Candidates must have a demonstrable level of knowledge of UK employment legislation and must possess IT, numerical and budgeting skills.
Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The position also requires diplomatic and negotiation skills and the ability to wok on own initiative as well outstanding organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong counselling and guidance skills and be a confident and effective communicator. Ideal candidates must be polished and able to communicate confidently with staff and peers, as a positive role model you will be representing the Company and senior management team.
CIPD Qualified or equivalent.
The Package:
Salary up to £40,000. Core Office Hours Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5pm. Group Personal Pension Plan and Mileage,
