My client is looking to recruit experienced Multi skilled maintenance engineer with experience of leading maintenance teams within a fast paced manufacturing environment to ensure that production equipment is capable of achieving the performance, quality and availability standards required to meet target OEE level on each line. Lead the team of shift engineers to achieve the daily production plan and the department’s Key Performance Indicators.
Main Responsibilities Include:
- Communicate production targets and priority equipment to Engineer team at the start of each shift and ensure an effective shift handover at end/start of each shift. Prioritise engineer resource on key lines.
- Provide daily and weekly OEE information, including downtime and uptime, to Department Manager.
- Monitor adherence by shift engineers to daily, weekly and monthly preventative/routine maintenance schedules. Provide training on operator maintenance to achieve autonomous maintenance standards.
- Provide report to Engineering Manager on major engineering works required from maintenance department or from external service providers.
- Contribute knowledge and understanding of the production process as an active member of TPM/SMED/SPC teams.
- Ensure all direct reports comply with company rules and procedures regarding break times, start and finish times, absence reporting, holiday management, overtime.
- Ensure engineer personnel are trained and competent in their roles, across the production department. Carry out reviews as required.
Candidates must be time served in an engineering discipline with experience of leading maintenance teams within a fast paced manufacturing environment. You must also have experience of working with injection moulding machinery.
