Marketing Manager Ayr   £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing Manager to join this award-winning business at our Auchincruive (Ayr) location.  We specialise in the development and marketing of rapid test kits for the agriculture and food industries worldwide.

 The role will involve:

• Liaising with the Sales and Marketing Director on all aspects of marketing communication, planning, tactics and strategy.   

• Responsibility for the management and development of four marketing professionals within the team.

• Coordination of all marketing efforts for the sales divisions.

• Interaction and cooperation with all company employees to proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships.

• Budget management.

• Work with Customer Service and Managers from each division to make sure that they are being serviced with marketing literature, advertising, editorial, press releases, promotions/events and cross-divisional campaigns.   

• Maintain key communications with Domestic Corporation on the development of new products.

• Work with foreign language divisions to keep translation requirements to a workable level.

• Offer novel and/or alternative ideas for marketing campaigns.  Seek out market opportunities by direct market research and via sales staff.   Coordinate market research for new products and applications. 

• Manage the implementation of CRM into the marketing division.

• Manage the portfolio of our competitors for all our product ranges by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising.

• Be familiar with all standard marketing communication tools.

Requirements of Role:

·        Minimum of 2 years people management experience

·        Minimum of 3 years in a marketing department

·        Marketing/Communications Degree

·        Language skills

·        Excellent communicator

·        Respond well under pressure

·        Organised and methodical

·        Proactive and able to take the initiative

·        Motivate and inspire a team

·        Well presented with a professional manner

·        Persuasive and diplomatic

·        Able to work within a budget
