Origin RPM’s client is a successful and growing internet & telecoms company based in Lanarkshire.  Due to growth, we now require experienced 1st Line Helpdesk Support, to provide customers with the excellent service the company is known for.

Key Duties:

  • To provide technical support and general account assistance by answering queries via phone, email & in-house helpdesk
  • To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles
  • To take ownership of customer problems and be proactive when dealing with customer issues
  • To log all calls on the call logging system and maintain full audits
  • Respond to enquiries from customer and help them resolve any hardware or software problems
  • To allocate more complex service issues to the relevant staff member with detailed information
  • To provide at all times a professional, courteous and rapid response to individual customers
  • To arrange for and manage supplier technical support where problems cannot be resolved in house
  • Cross selling of other appropriate services

Person Specification:

  • Relevant 1st line / Helpdesk support experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Internet connectivity, Wi-Fi and email programs such as Outlook, Mozilla, etc.
  • Experience of using and troubleshooting Mac systems for Internet/email use
  • Basic understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • Previous experience of supporting telecom services such as PSTN, ISDN, VoIP would be advantageous
  • A relevant MCP certification would be beneficial, but is not essential

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company. Hours of work will be 900am-500pm, Monday-Friday.
