Working 36 hours per week, this temporary post is for a period up to 20 months. Post is funded through the Wellcome Trust.

We are seeking a Project Archivist to arrange and catalogue the archival records of the Crichton Royal Institution for the benefit of the medical history research community and the wider public. You will analyse the record series, catalogue to ISAD[G] standards using CALM software and index using classification schemes such as MESH or ICD10.

Qualified to degree level in relevant subject and a post graduate qualification in Archival studies, you must have a high level of computer literacy, high level of skills in CALM (or equivalent) cataloguing software, be highly organised and motivated and be able to work with and organise a team of volunteer workers.

A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.
