>> You have a DipSW or equivalent professional Social Work qualification, with relevant post qualifying experience in a Child Care setting and are registered with the SSSC. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. The preferred candidate will also be required to provide an Overseas Criminal Records Check from other countries as deemed necessary. Job Purpose
>> To effectively chair Child Protection Case Conferences, Looked After Reviews and related fora in accordance with statutory, policy and procedural responsibilities and ensure that the action plans/ outcomes of these fora are focused on the wellbeing of children.
>> To contribute to the quality assurance and continuous improvement of the above processes and take lead responsibility for the development of specific areas of professional practice as agreed with your line manager.
Main Tasks
- Co-ordinating, Chairing and Reviewing of Statutory Child Protection Case Conferences
- Co-ordinating, Chairing and Reviewing of Statutory Looked After Child Reviews
- Quality Assurance of inputs and outcomes of these processes
- Leadership in designated areas of professional practice
- Multi-Agency working; corporate and representational duties
