Electrical Service Engineer Montrose   £Competitive+benefits

You will work on all types of drilling rigs in a wide variety of locations; installing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repairing NOV products. 

This will involve:

• Liaising with Customers and recommending improvements to products and systems  
• Liaising with Customers, Colleagues and other NOV facilities
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Reporting and updating of relevant documentation including daily reports, survey reports, parts lists and service logs
• Recommending improvements to products and systems where appropriate

Applicants can be based remotely but must be able to travel internationally at short notice.

You must be qualified to HNC level, or equivalent, with experience in some of the following fields:  

AC and DC drives, PLC systems, SCR's, electro-hydraulic and electro-pneumatic control systems, heavy engineering overhaul and repair, electrical installation and maintenance within hazardous areas, pressure control equipment and instrumentation. 

An understanding of electronic components and competence in the use of test equipment is essential.   

Relevant experience in a similar position, either Offshore or in an automation field, would be beneficial.
